Blue-winged teal

Back to the park today in hopes of grabbing a blip before the rain started to fall, and my timing was good. There were two pair of blue-winged teals on the bog. Naturally they didn't want to come very close, but I waited patiently and was rewarded with "close enough."

Update on the eye: When I woke up, I immediately took off the patch and discovered that I actually could already see better with that eye. When I went for my post-op checkup later in the morning, the doctor told me that the swelling hadn't completely gone yet and the eye was still somewhat dilated, but my vision with that eye was 20/30 today. And that was the worst of my two eyes! Can't tell you how thankful I am!
