50 pancakes!

50 pancakes!!!!   a new record set by Oskar today    Fiona ate 38 on the 4th of July and will be challenged.     It’s a thing with these grandkids…and the dogs!    I’ve made millions, I think. 
Oskar and I had an interesting discussion about a site called “Discord” where he plays games and meets lots of people on the internet but it’s not “regular” social media.   He’s even in a book club there altho he’s never liked to read books.    It’s so full of far out possibilities I can barely understand…. makes blip look so nice and simple and doable… for us “of a certain age”.  (Don’t think there are too many teens on blip :-))
Also much talk about all the new galaxies seen with that fantastic telescope .

The other noteworthy and most appreciated event was the 3 guys went to pick up the lumber from Galliano for the replacement boards for the rotten ones on the decks.  I stayed with Bean who had an absolute fit …she’s a “covid dog”…almost never was left alone without her family.  ( Oskar says if they leave her they have to put her in her cage with blankets over, and toys and treats) …She cried and cried but  I waited til the boat was out of sight to let her out and she was on the dock in 20 seconds!  whew she didn’t try to swim.   So we had a long walk to the beach and she was so happy when she saw the boat come back  (extra…also a funny photo of Bean jumping for the red flag on the lumber.   this building stuff is right up Eric’s alley…I”m nervous he is going to want to be doing projects like this here forever…:-)   .to be discussed…..He also got up on the ladder to wash the Tall House Porch skylights.)
