Our 50th Anniversary.

How did that happen!!

We met in the April and got married in July.  His brother thought we had to!  How wrong was he.

On the day, the flowers were wrong.  They were meant to be posies, I felt really awkward carrying mine.

But everyone thought they were lovely, as they were so different.

The photographer didn't turn up at the church.  He was my husband's uncle, and he'd double booked another wedding, as he was getting paid for it.

Luckily, friends and family took photos for us.

And 6 weeks later we got dressed up again, and my Dad took some photos of us.

My niece, who was 6, cried because her shoes were hurting her feet.  She's now 56 and a Grandmother herself!

At the end of our weeks honeymoon, my husband told me he had been posted (he was in the Navy).

That was just the start of living in a lot of different places.

There have been lots of highs and lows in our life.  But surprisingly we are still together.
