Fishley Clouds

It was L's birthday today and we were in for a fun packed day.  I woke even earlier than normal and looking out of the kitchen window I could see a cloud front stretching across the sky so I headed out before breakfast for an increasingly rare photo session.

After breakfast we headed up to the stables and while L rode out with a friend, I carried out the chores.  We popped into friends so they could give L a present and then it was home to get ready for a night out.

We drove in to Birmingham Hippodrome, parking at the Arcadian (when we could find our way through the traffic works and closed roads in the area).  I don't ever remember going in to the Arcadian before but we chose an Italian Restaurant for pre show dinner, then strolled across the road to the Theatre.  The show, We Will Rock You has been update with current references in the script and they got a special cheer when the couple took 'extra precautions' by putting face masks on as they went to bed!

Trying to get out of the car park proved as challenging as getting in and there were a number of changes of direction and U-turns before we finally found ourselves on the Middle Ring Road and heading home.

All in all a lovely day.
