Back to Auckland

Firstly, apologies - I am somewhat behind with responding to comments and checking in on fellow blippers.  I hope to catch up over the next couple of days.

It was a lovely sunny day today after the heavy rain yesterday, so before setting off on the trip back to Auckland we walked across the Canopy Bridge and sat on a deck at Quay Restaurant on the side of the river enjoying a coffee and the sunshine.  We had a good trip back, stopping in Warkworth for lunch and putting up the weekend’s open home signs once we reached Auckland.

Tonight we had fish and chips for supper with Mum, who was very pleased to have some company. We had wine, Mum had her usual G&T.

There are 10,470 new community cases today, and the seven-day rolling average is 9,994 compared to 8,310 last Friday. The number of people in hospital is 773, including 14 in ICU. Today another 16 deaths have been reported, bringing the total number of deaths to 1,776 and the seven-day rolling average to 16.
