View from a shady wood

I hope that living in a clearing in the woods will save us from the extreme heat over the next few days, especially since we have some friends coming for lunch on Sunday. They are keen to escape the heat of London.  I shopped for all the fresh food early this morning, and have made my favourite Tuscan ice cream recipe, Apricot Gelato, to go with a Peach and Rosemary Tart :-)
