Friday: St. Swithin's Day

https://www.britannica.com/topic/Saint-Swithins-Day

I won't pretend that I wasn't praying for rain all day ... but none came and to make matters worse the British Isles is facing extremely hot weather warning for next few days :-((
Weather here today was cloudy and not unpleasant.
Red roses along bottom of today’s Blip looking lovely without the overgrown redcurrant bush strangling it!
Blue chicory flower again (sorry, but currently favourite flower!); the red eating apples growing in a tub opposite living room window; a baby blackbird - one of many eating all the berries in the garden; elderberries on the black leaved elderflower - another favourite of the blackbirds; pea “Shiraz” which seem to be thriving in spite of lack of rain.
Today I ate something from the garden with all my meals: breakfast was compote made a couple of days ago with banana/Greek yogurt/muesli; lunch accompanied by freshly picked salad leaves; dinner pasta with broccoli “hungry gap” and purple peas as mange tout …
Weekends come round so quickly, stay indoors and keep yourselves cool if it gets too hot - stay safe! xxxx xxx xx
Stay safe & healthy & happy everyone :-)
Nos da pawb / goodnight all xx
