One From Many

I was still awake at 4:30 am this morning. Finally fell asleep and got up around 8:15 am. We each made our breakfast and planned our day. I ran out while things were still damp and snagged this photo of an onion bloom in the garden. I simply love all those tiny star shaped flowers. The marigolds are doing well this year also. We decided it would be a good day to clean house. We aren’t messy folks, wear no shoes inside so most of our “dirt” is kitty fur and there is plenty of that. Hubby vacuumed and I dusted; he hung pictures that had been sitting around and repaired a window ledge in a spare bedroom. I worked on my basement plants, took care of the kitchen and washed a load of laundry. A tire rack dug a hole in the driveway so he repaired that next. Kim came by for blueberries and Jamie called to say his doc believes he is in no danger of heart disease for the next 10 years. His paternal grandfather and uncle passed at age 50 due to heart disease so we naturally worry. His dad, aunts and uncles have experienced heart attacks and other related issues. Maybe he got my family’s longevity genes. Hope all three kids did and that your day brought good news too. Thanks for dropping by. Stay safe. No time for tv.
“In Heaven's happy bowers
There blossom two flowers,
One with fiery glow
And one as white as snow;
While lo! before them stands,
With pale and trembling hands,
A spirit who must choose
One, and one refuse.” - Richard Watson Gilder
