Sunset over Kerrera

The AM was able to fix the furler on the boat but it turned out to be a mighty, muscle-burning struggle to get the headsail back up again. Eventually succeeded and as a reward I allowed the AM to accompany me to M&S for some treats.

Hoping to journey onwards tomorrow but everywhere is so busy on the west coast at the moment! After lunchtime today a lot of boats were unsuccessful in finding a space here in Oban and some friends weren’t able to get their boat into Croabh Haven a few days ago. Now that we’re able to travel post-lurgy everyone has descended on the western isles of Scotland! There are loads of Scandinavian and French yachts here and unfortunately they’re a lot faster than our old lady (the boat, not me, although they’re probably faster than me, too).

Anyhoo, onwards tomorrow to try to get into Tobermory. Maybe the parking angel who helps with my car will be around for boat duty, too. :-)
