Cucumber

A good busy market today, and a bit of rain instead of the heatwave. Maybe that will arrive tomorrow?
I planted my cucumber seedlings out in the garden by mistake, thinking they were the courgette plants! However they don’t seem to mind too much. I have been watering them every evening through this long dry spell and I was delighted and surprised when I spotted this little beauty hiding under a leaf! As they are the ridge cucumber type they will only get to six inches or so, so I may start planning for it’s harvest fairly soon! I am thinking salmon cucumber and mayo sandwiches in some of Rob’s lovely bread…. I will let you know how it goes!
