Cakes by the ocean

This week at work has been full on.

Our warehouse and operations team have been double whammied with Covid and holidays

My direct boss wanted to cancel the chaps holiday it was but I refused to entertain him.

I said we would Get by.

And we have….

I think actually lesson learned. I think everyone should work in every other department for at least a day to see what is going on.

This week I have walked more steps than I have in six months. I have lifted over 19kg from table to scale to table to floor more than 10 Times. And slightly lesser weights more often.

I have created a product from a range of
Available parts. I have done the necessary
Software adjustment to accommodate that. I have learned through error that intercompany sales have to be processed in a very strict orde for them to work; and if you don’t you have to do it over and over

It was with some trepidation I checked the tracking numbers of orders sent out Tuesday / Wednesday- but joyously they are all on their way

These cakes were delivered by the wife of one of the sick folk. It was lovely to see three of us ended up hugging on the doorstep in tears. Our colleague, who I share many a Happy Hour in ‘therapy’ sessions on my couch with, is very poorly.. and the stress of it is showing on his lovely wife. He’s been sick for months but he is one of These ‘don’t give in to it’ people but now he is floored . He’s been warned to
Stay away.

Still has enough of a humour left in him to send my photos of his hankies … and whatever he might have coughed up today - just before I chose my cake!
