Anker Clock

I loved seeing this beautiful clock today, one of the many in Vienna. It was created by the painter and sculptor Franz Von Malachi between 1911 and 1914. You will find it in the old inner city in the Hoher  Markt (High Market). The sculpture forms a bridge between two buildings. Over the course of 12 hours, on the hour, one of twelve famous figures, made out of copper, move across the bridge.

In the extras I’ve included a close up of the clock itself as well as some of the wonderful street murals I’ve enjoyed seeing today. This really is a gorgeous city.

Keep cool everyone.
