Lucky
I thought it was a bit odd that Sky had plonked herself down in the middle of the dining room this afternoon but thought no more of it. When she was still there a couple of hours later I decided an investigation was needed. I called for Mr Flossmo and got a torch. And there in the torch beam we could just make out two black, shiny eyes and a mouse standing on his hind legs wedged between the leg of the sideboard and the wall. I went to fetch the Wellingtons.
The boots were positioned strategically and a wooden ruler used to poke the mouse. He quickly ran into the welcoming toe of one of the Wellies. Mr Flossmo carried the boot into the garden and I positioned myself with my iPhone at the ready but Johnny Town Mouse didn't want to leave his comfortable new home. It was only with a bit of shaking that he emerged. I had one chance at a photograph before he scuttled off into the undergrowth. Luckily I caught him in the lens; luckily he lived to tell his friends the tale.
