Lacock Abbey NT (Friday 15th July 2022)
On my way to Melksham I stopped off at Lacock Abbey NT for a shady walk up to the rockworks. Again I didn't see the cat Smokey/Abbess/Gracie or any of their own cats. En route I walked around the Botanic Gardens and took a few shots. The crocosmia in my garden didn't do very well last year and I think some more were planted to come up this year, but so far without results. Lacock don't seem to suffer the same problems and theirs were massive.
Thanks to BikerBear for Flower Friday.

Lozarhythm Of The Day:
The Beach Boys - God Only Knows (Stereo Remaster) (recorded 10 March -11 April 1966, Western Studios and Columbia Studios, Hollywood CA)
In the evening I watched the documentary film Brian Wilson: Long Promised Road, in which he and a Rolling Stone journalist drive around Los Angeles discussing his career and life, illustrated with Beach Boys archive clips and comments from a diverse range of celebrity Beach Boys fans.
Brian Wilson said that he was due to sing lead on God Only Knows until the day came when his brother Carl requested to do the lead vocal. Brian Wilson was happy to agree and was delighted with the vocal Carl provided for the song, a keystone of Pet Sounds.
As a footnote the very next morning I heard the actor James Buckley choose the vary same number as an Inheritance Track on Saturday Live (Radio 4), drawing attention to the extraordinary lyric (by Tony Asher and Brian Wilson), which is coupled with an equally complex but right-sounding melody.
It was discussed and praised at length on the Radio 4 programme Add To Playlist of 25th March 2022. A classic of our times, it opened the album and was on the B-side of Wouldn't It Be Nice.
