Time for a trim!

This is the second prune of 2022 for this Holme Oak, it's a tough tree. The extra shows the finished tree which is developing well, some of the pads or clouds need to fill out but overall it's very pleasing.

After work a frazzled RF and I walked into town, collected fish and chips then sat in the Abbey Gardens and ate then.

We were treated to the fantastic sight of one of the cathedral peregrines dispatching a pigeon it had caught on the lawn about 10 metres away from us. Maybe gruesome but the closest I have ever been to a wild peregrine.  After that a walk on to St Giles hill to look down on the majority of Winchester in the late evening sun. A photo of the view at the viewpoint showed how much the tree cover has increased.

Sat in the garden on our return and watched the stars and bats, a nice evening
