Grey Heron

The young one met me at the gate this morning. She had quite a bit of her whitebait then spotted a woman coming into the park with a do. She took off and landed on top of the dovecote. She watched me head to the water then swooped down in front of me where she was joined by the older female. I had difficulty getting the complete whitebait ths week so am saving it for the young one. The others are happy with the topped and tailed whitebait so I fed that to the older female.
Ths afternoon it was only the male around so he got a herring. There were 3 crows this morning plus the fledgling who got some whitebait.
