Still Green Here

This is my favourite cycling path across the Landstuhler Bruch. Even in this drought it's still green. Other paths can't be recommended right now: it's so dry - when someone passes you, you eat dust. Happened more than once today. It seemed everybody in possession of an ebike was out and about this morning before the heat kicked in again. It felt like cycling on the Autobahn. I never go fast on the bicycle; if I ever get an ebike than only for assistance uphill, not for speed.

In the extra a photo taken of the Schwarzbach, looks more like a still wet ditch right next to the real Autobahn, blipped from the pedestrian/cycle bridge going across. Surprisingly much water in it; but then it's the Bruch, a former swamp. I know many places where it still looks wild and where walking is impossible.

It's not green anymore on the fields. And more sun and much hotter expected the coming 2 weeks. Perhaps a thunderstorm or two on Thursday. Better than nothing.
