Plants

I had my cycle ride this morning, before it got really hot in the afternoon. I called in at a garden centre (hence the photo) to buy a fern for our newly done up en-suite. I misjudged the size though, and that is now in our main bathroom. I'm going to get some air plants, I think. I had one that lasted for years and I'd like another. 

Meanwhile our new shower room has our orchid on the window ledge. I repotted it to try to straighten it up because it is listing to one side rather badly, but I've only had limited success. I hope it survives.

I think I've managed to turn the underfloor heating off upstairs, and the towel rail which needed to be turned off separately. I haven't practised for my clarinet lesson tomorrow and I'm thinking of cancelling because playing clarinet is too hot.

We're all expecting a couple of really bad days with the red weather warning for heat. Let's hope we're ready for it.
