Dappled Diptych

This is the same tree showing my approach, and then closer, to enjoy the leopard-like dappled light on the tree trunk. Worlebury Woods in the evening is one way to cool down on a very hot day. 

Made a lovely lasagne for us all to share at lunchtime, with garlic bread and salad. All followed by a (bought) strawberry and cream gateau. That is all I've done today! Found it too hot to do anything else and ended up sleeping for over an hour and a half this afternoon, which won't bode well for tonight, I fear.

I do love the summer, but these temperatures are a bit too much.
