All aboard

A full train departs from the headquarters of the Maidstone Model Engineering Club this afternoon. Must have been a children’s party and they we t around twice.

We took the Forres family into Mote Park to ride the train and visit the playgrounds. We all had a ride, the first time I’ve been on it for many years.

The playground was not as good as I was expecting, not easy for a three year old to climb on or interact with. It was hot too, as we were expecting. He enjoyed the train ride although was rather fractious and challenging at other times. It took all four adults to jolly him along.

Some fine models in operation including this LNER B1 class 61108, a model of Tornado and the Dutches of Hamilton as well as a diminutive little tank engine called Jack.
