Meet Denise, who's just turned 81, and has lived her entire life in the small village of Turckheim, in the tiniest of houses that still sports an old-fashioned outhouse. A number of people were coming by her place to give her their wishes and she kept a bottle of champagne and some pretzels handy for everyone. She only owns six glasses it seems, so she was constantly washing them out for the next set of visitors.

She's feisty and speaks non-stop, mostly in the German-based dialect known as alsacien (which was also my first language...). I think she wears dentures, but they are lose as, when she speaks, she keeps "guiding" the dentures back into place.

Quite a character, she is :)
