Early morning roses.
Up early and opened all the windows wide, along with the patio door, and kitchen door, to let some cooler air through the house. Later on I will close them all, along with the blinds and curtains. We’ll all need wooden shutters at this rate like in Europe.
As I remarked to another blipper the other day, “All we are missing now are some cicadas to provide their hissing song”
I loved to hear them when we were in France. Sitting on the patio till late last night that would have been a great accompaniment.
Washing in.
Dead headed some more roses and did a bit of trimming in the borders.
Now we’re sitting outside having our breakfast.
The bees are busy and the birds are a little more vociferous.
I’ve replenished the three bird baths and various large plastic saucers in shady places around the garden.
We will be indoors after lunch, hunkered down as the heat rises to its expected 38C
So thankful to live in a house with a garden. It must be sweltering to be in a high rise block of flats with no air con.
Surely now they must do something about climate change.
But are we ready to pay the price?
Time for another coffee.
