Metamorphosis in action!

This morning (left) they were caterpillars getting ready... this afternoon (right) three of them have formed chrysalides.

This is the third year we have looked after a pot of caterpillars. This is the quickest they’ve formed chrysalides... only one week! I think this heatwave has brought them on quickly this year.
