A pair . . .

 . . . of swans.
In the early evening as the temperature cooled a bit I drove over to Braunton meadows to see if the swans were there. There were two but this year no cygnets on this part of the waterway.  With this heat the water seemed covered in algae except for this little bit where the swans were doing their preening - much evidence of unwanted feathers on the water.
Another hot day here - about 38 outside I think, but only a delicious 25 in my home.
I enjoyed a nice cool swim today with the usual suspects!
