Temptation

I didn't manage my long lie today after all as Anne was heading off at 7.15 for Berlin. As it happened her plane was delayed by two hours, so I could have slept on. Joyce headed back to Leeds today too so the morning was spent saying goodbye.
Today was the first day of the promised heatwave and sure enough, it did reach 31 in our garden, in the shade. I did the minimum - watered the pots and sat under a sun umbrella going a raspberry magnum(or at least the Lidl equivalent). . I've realised that the reason I find this country so uncomfortable at high temperatures is that there is no pool for me to dive into every half hour or so. I looked in the garage and came up with this, which is a good size, even if I couldn't dive into it, but far too much effort . If I can find it I'll put an extra of the last time we used it, pre lockdown in July 2019, so it may even have a leak.
Once again, thank you everyone for your kind hearts and comments over the weekend. It's heart warming to see the involvement of my'blip family'!
