Teasle
Being warned of high temperatures (31.3 °C here) we kept ourselves cool by staying inside and enjoying the wind-chill factor of a very good fan we bought during last year's hot spell. It works silently so we may take it upstairs tonight.
Our teasles have just started to flower so I thought I'd catch one for a blip. Apparently, they were used in the textile industry for carding (teasing) long before metal combs were invented. Some people still prefer them for raising nap as, if they snag, the teasle will break rather than the fabric rip.
