Steve Prefontaine Statue

I was in Eugene today doing errands.
It was a lovely morning, so I took a few minutes to walk to the temporary installation of a new statue of Steve Prefontaine.
Steve is a much-loved long-distance runner who lived a short but glorious life that has inspired many runners since his passing.
The World Athletics Championships are ongoing here in Eugene this week at the Hayward Field facility on the University of Oregon campus.
