New lettuce

I’m having to take extreme measures to protect my next crop of lettuce seedlings. I’m planning to plant them out later in the week when the weather cools off… didn’t do a lot in todays heat - a bit of shopping and errands in the surprisingly quiet air conditioned centre then desultory listing and heaping but not achieving packing for my forthcoming Alps trip. Decided to sleep in my lounge downstairs as it’s cooler.
