Swiss flags
The Swiss like their flags, one for each commune, one for each Canton as well as the national flag. Incidentally, did you know that the flag of the Red Cross is the Swiss national flag 'inside out', that is a red cross on a white background as opposed to the national flag which is a white cross on a red background?
Anyway, I digress.
Here is the stirring, bright, warlike flag of a small village/ commune, Gingins by name, which is a little to the east of our home. Behind it you can just see the green of the green and white flag of the Canton of Vaud and in the blip I have managed to include a shield with a representation of the Swiss flag.
In the distance you can see shutters on an old building, painted green and white, obviously the owner proud to be a Vaudois.
