Never before

Here it is , the expected highest temperature I’ve knowingly experienced in my lifetime. Previously it was 36°C on a long weekend in Vienna in 2017.
I feel so sorry for people who’ve had to work as usual, and for people like Miss Beewatcher whose health condition means she feels the heat more than most.
It’s forecast to be a lot cooler tomorrow. I hope the Met Office got that forecast right too.
