Orange cactus flowers

When watering the potted plants in the cabin I spotted that this cactus plant had sent up a long shoot on which flowers were already open. I brought it outside to get a bit more light and to be able to monitor its thirst, not something one usually thinks of with cacti.

A bit later I took some close-ups and noticed a small spider had occupied the top of the plant with webs strung between the flowers.
