So so hot, 102F at 2 this afternoon (I think in Fahrenheit so approx 39C). It’s impossible to do anything except watch some telly. All the windows and doors in the house are open, fans are on, and the garden is burning hot and still. However, I found a good way to keep Nelly and Ziggy cool which they loved. I put cold damp towels across their backs and within a few minutes they stopped panting, lay down and went to sleep, Ziggy on the kitchen tiles and Nelly across the doorway in a little cross draught.
My weather app says it’s going to be a lot cooler tomorrow so I’m hoping it’s right.
