Another hot day here.
I went to the allotment and picked the first green beans of the season , along with a beautiful strawberry ( see extra) . I potted up some leeks which I gave to Belle.
I will return tomorrow when it’s cooler to do some weeding.
I went to see my Mum in the afternoon, and we phoned my older sister to wish her a Happy Birthday .

My American friends invited me round for dinner. Julia is a skilled seamstress and kindly mended my favourite skirt . She uses an old Singer sewing machine. Brought back happy memories.
