Bus Protest

A busy day dotting about, making stuff, feeding one neighbours cats and another neighbours dog plus a mega Costco, IKEA and Sainsburys session in search of new shelving and props for my market this weekend at the Biggar Show - I have a much bigger stall than usual, hence the need.

This evening we were protesting. The only bus service that connects us (and many other rural communities) along the A702 from Dumfries to Edinburgh is being pulled. Said communities all gathered along the route this evening to demonstrate. The petition - thank you to all who signed - it gained well over 10,000 signatures and this evening we heard that there's been a reprieve from Aug 15th (the end date of the service) until March 2023 to allow for a proper consultation. A small win but still a long way to go with this one.
