So true it might have been written about my lilies beautiful one minute and dead the next.
Had a very early swim in the sea this morning, very strong current so have to work hard. But it’s a great way to cool the inner core before today’s intense heat. Stef came round and put up my pictures. I dangled the baby in the swimming pool a.k.a. the paddling pool. But huge to him. He seemed to enjoy it especially as it was so hot today. Took off down the beach again but it was very windy and the temperature dropped by 10°. Sophy and I had our picnic supper in the van and a meditation on John 4.4 such a deep and meaningful passage in enormously different ways every time we read it.
