A bed of roses (Rosa Banksiae)

Just a quick one today as I have loads to do but have been distracted again by the beauty here. We are up in Guejar for the 'bridge' weekend from Madrid. Looks like it was going to be quite a big celebration in Madrid so it is quite nice to be here in the peace and tranquility of the Sierra.

This was taken on Paul's small pap....the one he got for Christmas which I am trying to bond a bit more with as it seems to have loads of features.

Here we have a close up of the bed of roses that we were met with late last night when we arrived. A few weeks ago when we were down they were just budding and the perfume was intense....looks like they are just past their best now so thought I would capture one until we see them again next May.
