Seperate

I was looking for the new moon outside yesterday but it was still too light out and hadn't risen enough yet. However I did find this bird sitting on the wires above my driveway, and then another joined him. I had to take this opportunity because I've never really done much with bird photography, and I had my 55-200mm lens anyway, so I might as well at least try. I was being extremely careful when walking towards them so that they wouldn't fly away. Thank goodness they didn't until right after I took this photo.

The best thing about this photo is that it's of two beautiful, natural subjects sitting on something so unnatural and man made. It's such a contradiction, but I love it.
