More rain

Yes like yesterday, another “wet” blip, but this one couldn’t be more different.  More of a drizzle today, but wet just the same.  
Here in our district over the last 48 hours there has been excessive rain particularly inland, some of our inland towns are isolated with bridges washed away, slips closing roads.
And while we have this, over in Europe and the UK are sweltering in soaring temperatures with devastating fires everywhere.  Shocking viewing on our TV news today.
The other thing to report today is Doug has tested positive for COVID and feeling rather miserable.  He woke during the night with snivels and coughing.  Thought best to do a RAT and sure enough two lines !!
So I’m isolating as well but I did need to go out late this afternoon to get the newish anti-viral meds that are available for over 75 year olds. They are for five days, he will start them in the morning.
