Harvest

The farmers took advantage of the hot weather to get most of the harvest in. I haven't seen any of our neighbours yet to ask if this is the earliest that they have ever harvested. 
Much cooler today but still feeling warm. We have had the smell of smoke in the air for 24 hours now and it is gradually getting worse. It doesn't seem to becoming from anywhere in the immediate locality. Our only thought is that the moorland is burning above the next valley over. If we are right, then it must be getting worse. 
I potted on some more vegetable seedlings both this morning and this afternoon, with Tai Chi in between.
