Ready to Pop

After a much cooler night l packed my bag to come home.
Rebecca went to sort out her classroom, she usually does it as soon as she breaks up but delayed it because of the weather.
I stayed long enough to give Ruby a lift to her holiday job at the tearoom.
As she wasn’t starting until late morning l walked into Skipton as it was market day.

Really pleasant conditions but l couldn’t help but think of those who have lost their homes to fire as a result of the unprecedented heat over the last 48 hours.

A light and a dark wash soon dried in the sun and l did about an hour in the garden removing plants that had dried to a crisp.
Because l grow mostly in pots, watering is an issue.
My agapanthus are in various stages of flowering, they are among my favourite of flowers.

Then a quick visit to the supermarket for fruit, salad , dairy and wine.
Strawberries and raspberries half price .
Got two little gem lettuce for 17p, organic carrots 18p, baby plum tomatoes
28p and four cheese scones for 9p.
Wine full price :-))

Had a quick chat on the phone with Elaine about her coming to stay at the weekend.
Will be face timing with Tim and Adele this evening.
Then l will iron my linen clothes, the only fabric l want to wear at the moment
