Dusseldorf

We took the train from Amsterdam to Dusseldorf today, it's only around 2hrs 10mins, so a fairly quick trip. What a heat...another hot, hot day, so the factor 50 is packed for our afternoon out.

There is a huge fair on, it's the biggest on the Rhine. It's absolutely massive and truly has something for everyone - plenty for old and young...several roller coasters, a big wheel, ghost trains, virtual reality, shooting stalls, log flumes, dodgems, go-karts and some death-defying, dizzying rides too...you name it, they have it!

There are lots of food and drink stalls selling all sorts of treats - donuts, currywurst, pretzels, cheese, nuts, gingerbread, sweets, frites...it all smelt so good.
