Bird Table

This bird table is very much like HMS Victory in Portsmouth. It’s old and has been repaired so much there is not much left of the original. 

I bought Sue this bird table in the early 80’s. At that time it had a roof. To keep the bird seed dry I guess. The roof is long gone and was probably the first bit to disappear. The seed table shown here is, if I remember correctly, the third incarnation. 

It really suffered a couple of years ago. One of the legs fell off and the other three rotted away. Rather than make Sue a new one she encouraged me to repair. So existing legs reduced by a third in length. A new forth leg and new seed tray. 

It was originally just ‘wood’ coloured. We decided to paint it.
