Eccup walk

What with being away followed by the heatwave we hadn’t visited our regular walk at Eccup for awhile. There were swallows darting around the farmhouse outbuildings. But we saw no Kites!

The greylag geese are resident living on the nearby reservoir, nesting in vegetation and feeding on farm crops. They were fairly active today and there was quite a bit of honking as they flew overhead.

The air is much fresher today following light rain showers overnight and so much easier for walking. Unfortunately the house is taking a lot longer to cool down.
