Early visitor

One of the first things I did this morning was to fill the bird feeder, as I love to watch the birds while I eat breakfast. This is actually a young Woodpecker, being introduced to the feeder by a parent.  It didn't take long to get the hang of it.  I haven't actually seen a young Woodpecker previously - always the adult, but they both flew forwards and back to the trees all day.
