Peewits/Lapwings

Whilst walking the dogs this evening I saw some Peewits more commonly called Lapwings. I hadn’t seen them down on the farm for years. The grass is looking very parched and dry. In the photo you can see that in the field beyond the grass there is some maize growing which seems to be doing well and shows up as lush and green against the arid grass fields. The dogs enjoyed their walk. Later I played badminton. Now home.
