Church of St John the Baptist, Winster, Derbyshire

I'm staying in a quiet spot up on the hill above Winster. I walked into the village after I arrived along well marked footpaths. It is so peaceful here after the frenetic pace of traffic and people en route. I'm finding that in this country it is always a relief to actually arrive somewhere at the end of the day. I worked hard to find Airbnbs in rural locations, far away from the bustle of town and it has paid off. I can't hear a road from here. Even the cows, sheep and horses are quiet at present!

I'm pretty good at shutting gates, etc, but had never seen a sign like that on the extra photo before.
