George Sutherland- a life well lived

Today we attended the funeral of a very old and dear friend, George Sutherland, teacher and educationist.
 
Three months ago we were having tea with both him and his wife, artist Lys Hansen, in their garden in Blairlogie.”
 
It was a day of celebration for the life of George, and the ceremony ended with a crowd of over hundred circling his grave while Alicia Devine sang Auld Lang Syne, a moving and poignant tribute to a Scotsman of a life well lived.
