York

MrsCyclops and CyclopsJnr have come on a mini break to York.

After the heatwave cancelled trains Mon-Wed MrsCyclops wasn't entirely convinced it would be a smooth journey but luckily it was extremely straightforward and a normal UK summer temperature.

We arrived about lunchtime and walked along the city walls to get to our hotel.

We spent the afternoon mostly meandering, seeing the Shambles plus York Minster and Clifford's Tower from the outside.

We also played a round of Wizard mini golf, and perused MANY Harry Potter shops and gaming shops.

We decided we wanted tapas for dinner but the first two tapas restaurants we went to didn't have churros so in the end we went to Las Iguanas which wasn't tapas but it was fine and DID have churros.

Back to the hotel where CyclopsJnr initially thought he was exhausted but ended up being thrilled to watch YouTube on the big TV in our room until 9pm, in his bed/PJs.
