Requiem for Pianos

This wonderful new 224 page book arrived today from France via FedEx. It is a labour of love by photographer Romain Thiery. Like a large picture notebook, with maps, texts, music scores, and some of the most stunning images I have seen of pianos.

The conditions that he has captured are seriously sad, and the neglect is unbelievable. How could people abandon pianos this way, leaving them to rot?
