Libraries gave us power

This is Whitchurch library which we joined today. There's a mildly interesting tale as to how we came to be here.
I watched Schindler's List with my daughter the other day, and afterwards I was telling her about visiting Auschwitz. I was explaining about the Arbeit Macht Frei slogan over the gates. This must have logged in my head as the next day I was singing the opening lines of the Manics' Design for Life:
Libraries gave us power/then work came and made us free
This in turn must have stuck in my daughter's head as later she asked if we could join our library, as she wanted to get Kennealey's Schindler's Ark.
So here we are - Spielberg to Whitchurch library via the Manics.
